Sticky pedal

This is on a 93 Lumina Z34 with the LQ1 (kinda obvious there).

Has anyone had it where the pedal gets stuck in place? I've had my Z34 sitting for a while. I went to move it and noticed that the pedal sometimes gets stuck in place and I have to hit the brake for it to let go. Not sure where to start looking on this one.

Check out the cable for binding or surface rust. Or if its your brake pedal IIRC it has like a piston/plunger apparatus thing at the top end that might have dried out or gathered enough crud to grip the pedal some.

Is it the old accelerator pedal got tightened under the strut tower cap trick? I've done that one.

I did this once too. Scared me for a second.

My carpet was loose from messing with the stereo a number of times to wear at a certain spot you would get wedged under the carpet, I doubt this is a normal occurrence but just a thought
