DOES ANYONE KNOW A LEGIT SITE WHERE YOU CAN FIND PRODUCTION NUMBERS FOR FIRST GEN REGALS

Looking for production numbers of 1988 and 1989 Buick Regal's. I would like to know how many units were built for each of those years.

If you know where to find this info please let me know. I been looking for info but GM don't carry this info in the kits the historic kits they sell. Mostly only the bill sheets and invoice are present.

It may or may not be covered in the top-most post here in the General section. Have a look through it.

I did search not much threads referring to production numbers... only found 2 pages worth of info by just doing a search for production numbers. Nothing at all was mentioned on the regal. Just seen everything mentioned about the Cutlass and Grand Prix models. I contacted Buick in Canada. Maybe they can tell me how many were built in production those years. I know GM still builds the Regal in Oshawa plant in Canada auto complex. So will see if anything works out.

Unfortunately, even if you get records for the Regals from GM, it will only be for Canadian market cars.

What you are probably going to have to do is collect VINs and find the highest, there will be your production total.

I never thought about that one before. Buick got back to me with production numbers on how many regals were built in 1988 and 1989. I need to ask them if this includes USA market cars.
