'92 GTP HUD dash and compass console in an SE?

I have a '92 Grand Prix GTP parts car with a HUD and compass center console. Would those work in a '92 SE with a 3.1 with no mods or would I have to custom wire them up?

Crap...I just realized that the 5spd console top is completely different than the automatic.

That DIC and console has to fit. It's hard to believe GM would design two different consoles of each style to accommodate the shifter.

A couple of guys have done the 5 spd swap, one of them would know. There's always someone looking for the 5 spd parts from your parts car too.

You don't need to transplant the whole dash to do HUD, just the HUD cover. Unless there are other reasons.

Don't be sorry, that's what I figured.  I thought I would give it a shot.  You did get the white SE?  If so, congrats!

Not yet. He has to replace the timing belt on the Petty edition so he has something to drive.

From what I recall the console plate is universal, with a different insert for auto or manual. The insert is plastic welded in, and should be able to be swapped out if done carefully.
