Fuel Tank Insulators

Does anyone know where I can buy a set of Fuel Tank Insulators to fit between the fuel tank and the body. For my 1996 Cutlass, I am in the process of replacing my tank, fuel pump/sender assembly, filler neck, etc., and I'd like to get the right insulators if they are still available.

Going by the manual it looks like there are 6 to 8 pieces that stick onto the top of the tank. E-Bay has plenty to choose from for the older cars 78-87 but nothing for the newer models. Napa doen't have anything either. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I almost dropped the tank on my `95 and would have seen these. From the FSM seems like something could be easily modified to work just as good.

Practically any rubber of nearly the same thickness should work fine. If it's the thin stuff, something like a yoga mat might work. If you need thicker, look at utility mats and such at the home improvement stores, tractor supply, etc. Cut up strips using a utility knife with fresh blade. Clean up the area where the original insulators are very well so that whatever adhesive you choose will adhere well.

When I replaced the Bonneville tank they came off easily with a putty knife, wiped them down with acetone and glued them right on the new tank with some silicone.
