jiggity76 Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 Does anyone know the best way to remove that clip from the floor shifter in the Cutlass? I have a good one to replace my bad one and don't want to damage it when taking it off the console. Quote
MemphisMan Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 I've had to remove my shifter handle many times. I found that moving the shifter out of park and into the low gear position gives easier access to the clip. Then I stick a very small flat head screwdriver on top of the clip and pry it out. Mine has always come out very easily and hasn't damaged the shifter at all. I've had mine out about 5 times. jmjp5055 1 Quote
jiggity76 Posted February 27, 2018 Author Report Posted February 27, 2018 Great, sounds easy enough thank you. Is the handle and the lower grey collar all one piece? Does it just slide off of the shaft in one piece then? Quote
