m0sh_man Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I need to know what it does and where to plug it in, Exactly where to plug it in, i looked and looked and looked, and cant find a place to plug it in, Right now it has a bolt in the end of it to cap it off, i uncapped it while the car was running and i noticed that there was no suction on it. im sure it plugs in somewhere, i just wanna make sure it goes into the right place. matthew Quote
shipman Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I am thinking it must be part of the cruise control?? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Yep, vacuum for cruise control dump. There should be no vacuum in it unless your cruise is on. It attaches to a valve on the brake pedal lever. Quote
m0sh_man Posted December 3, 2003 Author Report Posted December 3, 2003 any chance you can be more specific on where it plugs in? where is this piece located on the brake pedal? matthew Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I'm at work so I can only go by memory. If you look at the pedal lever, I think there's a green or gray plastic thing with a button on it. The vacuum hose attaches to that. It'll be the only thing the lever touches that has a button. It might be easier to see by removing the plastic access panel under the dash. Quote
92turboLE Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 black hose??? i cut that once on accident thinking it was the brake light switch wires and a loom over it of some sort... cruise still works good though... the only other thing i could think to caution you on is maybe there is a reason it was unhooked... be careful - Justin Quote
shipman Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 You know... my cruise stopped working a long time ago. I always thought it was something broken on the turn signal/cruise lever, but maybe my vaccuum line is disconnected as well! Quote
