It’s all good I’ve already ordered the gaskets, head bolts, tune up kit and some other parts from rockauto. I guess the positive side is that now I can clean the engine bay up and get everything sorted, definitely a drag because it’ll put a hold on cosmetics but oh well I would rather it run tip top than hurt the internals like it probably would if it kept getting driven. GTP091 Posted February 5, 2018 Report Share Posted February 5, 2018 I had an issue with my primary fan not coming on as well. (91 LQ1). It was the temp sensor in my case; from memory the sending unit was on the rad but I could be wrong, its been a few years. Found out very shortly after the primary fan motor was fried and was causing a huge amp draw when it was on. I changed both and problem solved.
