92turboLE Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 on the GPs, does the wiper switch pod light up. I noticed the other night that the headlight switch pod lights up, but the wiper pod does not. Any help would be great - Justin Quote
Gearhead43 Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 YES its supposed to light up. Quote
92turboLE Posted December 3, 2003 Author Report Posted December 3, 2003 AHHH, Thanks!!! i think i see another 2am adventure to dismantle the pod... lol - just hope i can get it back together correctly, i kinda have a problem with that sometimes, that and having extra parts left over. - Justin Quote
Gearhead43 Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 One phillips screw.. under the wiper pod, then the pod pulls right out... You'll see the 2 twist assemblies for the min. lamps.. They are small ones. Quote
92turboLE Posted December 3, 2003 Author Report Posted December 3, 2003 so i can get the bulbs out without dismanteling the whole thing? SCHWEET!!! i know how to get the pod out (my phillips screws arent there anymore ) I take the damn thing apart too often to put vital things like screws back in, they just slow me down next time, lol - Justin Quote
Gearhead43 Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 LOL .. well the screw does hold the pod in a keep it from vibrating loose from the connector over time. But in the case of the pods .. They really don't do much. Quote
93GTP Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 The bulb in the wiper pod is a specialty item, and it is discontinued... What I had to get done was bring it to an electronics store, and let them match up a bulb, and solder it in the holder. I had to get this done for many lights in my car. Quote
Gearhead43 Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Discontinuned???? Dammit.. Well what's the part number of the lamp you got at the electronics store? Quote

I'll just raid the junkyard for bulbs... they just give away bulds and nuts and bolts so i'll just grab all i can find. The part numbers and such from the bulbs you put in though would be helpful information for lazter down the road if i have any other problems. i think i might start stock piling parts for my car since it seems that more and more parts are being disconinued. - Justin Quote
93GTP Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I'm not sure about any part numbers. But any good electronic repair place will be able to match them up for you. Quote
92turboLE Posted December 3, 2003 Author Report Posted December 3, 2003 werd, i;ll have to check that out. Were they any brighter then the stock ones??? - Justin Quote
93GTP Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I can't tell a difference between the one that's replaced in the wiper switch, and the one in the light module. Which is good. Quote
