wstefan20 Posted December 23, 2017 Report Posted December 23, 2017 So, as many of you know, I have my upper and lower intake manifolds off currently, and I got to thinking about porting and the runners. Don't have it in the budget right now, but when I go to the hv3 inserts, I know they basically bypass the runners. When the runners are removed, there's these "supports" or "fins" that protrude from the casting. I'm wondering if there's any gains to be had from removing these and smoothing the flow out a bit, or whether they are integral. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it. Also, I removed the "lip" and smoothed out the neck some, but is there anything else that's worth modifying on the upper intake? Quote
