Oil plug Torque, TGP

Seriously, I have searched this site, google and the service manual for an hour and a half, and have found three different values for the drain plug, ranging from 18 to 30 Ft-LB, from what I can tell it is not in the service manual.  I give up, does anybody have the actual value?

I'm a pretty big stickler on torque specs.. but I don't think I've ever once cared about the oil pan drain plug.

 

However, GM thinks that the plug should be at 18 ft lbs, at least on the 3100, which I'm gonna say is close enough.

Sometimes I think that the more aggravated I get, the harder it gets to find stuff, I looked and looked, and all I could ever find was information on the 3800, which just led to aggravation, the thing is I have to have found it somewhere in the past since I too am a stickler for proper torque and I have owned this car since 1997, probably don't have too many oil changes left on it though, I think it is going to get sold off finally in the near future.  Thanks!

i just make it good and snug, dont want a issue later on, some of these lube shops are just animals and really crank on it. no need for that.
