2dr Regal Corner Light Cover Question.

I've seen quite a few Regals with the clear side lamp cover. And I see some with the amber side lamp cover (like mine).

I've seen them both on every 2dr model type so I don't think it's that.

Does anyone know why this is?

vs. my sig.

Sean i don't know, but I remember Shawn(Gnatgosplat) told someone that those clear corners came stock on some Regals. So I'd either hit up a Y/J or the Dealer if you are looking for them. I don't know why, but My guess is different years with different Option?? who knows..it is GM we're talking about here!

I think 92-96 are clear.

Yours are amber because 88-91 didn't have the little amber reflector on the side of the bumper like 92-96 do.

Law says there must be some amber reflector somewhere visible on the side of the car in front of the wheel.

Ah hah! I got down to the bottom of it with some help from Autotrader, heheh.

ALL 94-96 Regal coupes have clear corners, including GS.

All 92-93 Regal coupes have clear corners EXCEPT GS!

So there ya have it. Why 92-93 GS's were excluded from the change to clear corners... I have no idea. Maybe in the early 90's, amber = sportier? Personally, I prefer clear. I ditched the amber corners on my Silverado because clear is available.

Thanks for the info Shawn. :D

i dont like the clear corners on the regal. looks ricey. i prefer the amber way better...for some reason i dont mind the gp's clear corners though

I like the clear only on dark colored Regals. I like the amber on the lighter colors.

here is a pic of a Black Regal w/ clear corners.

I want a black Regal too. I think it looks good.
