Leadfoot Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 No sir. Going to push the dent from the inside out. Then fix the rest from the outside by using rods to pull. Said there would be a small amount of filler if any. I asked first because I'm not a big fan of filling it full of bondo. Excellent. You have a good bodyshop. Quote
W30olds Posted November 30, 2017 Author Report Posted November 30, 2017 Excellent. You have a good bodyshop. Yes! They told me first thing was they were going to go inside the door and push out the dents. So that was a good start to choosing them! They're a state farm prefered shop also which is nice! Quote

Filler material has come a long way since the old stuff that everyone likes to complain about. Also, plenty of body shops or so-called body repairmen used to use "bondo" in places where it wasn't ever really an acceptable repair. Quote
Imp558 Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 It's usually cheaper to paint up a used door when it all comes down. Our doors also have a steel tube along the outside to protect us, once it's bent that probably should be the end of the door. Sounds like yours wasn't damaged bad at all. Quote

I wish I could go back in time and watch an O.G. body man from the '50's brassing dents smooth. There's still people who do it but to see it in it's prime would be so cool. Quote
