Regal GS education.

So I'm trying to figure out if I got this right about the GS Regals.

89 was the first year for this trim?  In 88 you could get the quad seat option but they weren't called GS or were they?  The quad seats were a stand alone option?  I've seen some that have it and some that don't.  91 was the last year for the quad seat option?  Sedans could get the quad seat option but for what years?  The sedans I've seen with the quad seats have also been 91's so is that the only year they were offered in the sedan?  I know they are super rare.

It would be cool to fill in the blanks on the first Gen Regal. All I know is the general stuff, 95 first year for more modern dash with 1.5 DIN radio and seat belts removed from the door in favor of pillar. 96 Series II 3800 instead of Series I on 3800 equipped cars. I think (note the italics and don't flame) 1995 was the year the reverse lights came out of the bumper on the Sedan.

I know even less on the later year Regals but I appreciate your response.  I love this site if anything to learn more about these cars.

1997 was the body style change and brought the 4T65-E with it. I know precious little about second Gens since the body style doesn't appeal to me.

IMO the first Gen W's had so much more character and while I think the second gen suspension was a significant improvement on all 4 corners the second gen A-Arm trajectory bugs me.

The second Gen had some other little quirks in the name of progress too, the BCM and other misc electronics have me on edge with this Monte Carlo. There seems to be no end to it's little glitches and goofy unexplainable failures.

I really love all the first gen GP, Cutlass, and Regals.  I love the digital dash's and the quad seat options.  My parents have a 2000-2004 Monte Carlo and it's been a great car for them.  They bought it new but it's starting to get a little rusty.
