J Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 my car runs hot in my opinion, about 195-220 all the time, i mean it goes down during highway runs, about 80-90mph and at about 20-40 degrees air temp. Is this really high? It's been like this since day one, i've even put in some red line water wetter, but befreo that i even flushed the coolant. any ideas guys? I have the 180 t stat ready to goin but i am unsure of the "PROPER" way to bleed the system and i also have been putting it off because the bleeder on top of the tstat housing is gone and replaced with the sending unit for my auto meter gauge. I mean i still have thge bleeder but i want to know if this is right or not before i take it out and put the bleeder back in. thanks guys Jay Quote
Robby1870 Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Your temps sound normal Jay. Stock T-stat is 195*, first fan comes on at 220* and 2nd on at ~227*. Quote
