PGP96
OK, I just replaced the coolant temperature sensor (3-wires going to it), near the thermostat housing. Is there also a separate single wire (green) SENDER, going from one of the cylinder heads, to the gauge? If so, pics of the location of the sender would be a big help. Thanks in advance. Imp558
On a 3 wire sensor there are essentially two sending units. 2 of the wires should be yellow and either black or violet and those represent the coolant temp sender for the computer. The third wire should be green and the other side of the sending unit that it references in that housing uses ground through the body of the sending unit that is the sending unit for your gauge. 19Cutlass94
That sensor you replaced is used by both the PCM and the gauge on the dash.
