jeremy
the Interior light fuse keeps blowing in my '97 Cutty.....I put a fuse in, the lights come on and then it blows the fuse....it has done this since I bought the car a few months ago, but I just felt the urge to try to research it. Any ideas??
92turboLE
trace your wiring down and look for shorts... thats about the only thing you can do. Is it the same fuse as your radio too??? you might want to check that as well - my bets would be the radio. Is it OEM or aftermarket? If aftermarket, pull it and check all the wiring. Also check your cig- lighter. That should be on the same circuit as well. - Justin

IL_pilot
Check your cigarette lighter. IIRC, it uses the same fuse, and if a dime or nickel falls into it, will short and blow. Had that problem with my current car, and a few other ones I've owned.
mfewtrail
if the fuse instantly blows, then you've got a short to ground..as the others said..good luck tracing the short down..also check out the nickel in the cig lighter socket idea if that is in fact on the same circuit... I must have a short....the only thing in the cig light is my phone charger try not having the charger in there I know of a vehicle that completely shuts down if you plug something into the cig socket... anyway, check for a short... start with the door switches though, and if not there, try your dome light and such.... not much you can really do w/o some tearing apart :?
