98OldsIntrigue Posted July 13, 2017 Report Posted July 13, 2017 I also struggle with caster (or camber??) alignment on w-body ... It sure looks like "replace worn suspension parts" (and possibly the big ol' motor-mount) is the NORMAL starting place, and then (on my Intrigue) there's a kinda/sorta bizarre process of re-drilling the (three) openings atop the strut towers according to a drilling template to achieve camber, which leads me to "presume" that this type rack and pinion suspension is kinda/sorta "designed" to come from the factory with LIMITED alignment requirements --- and that perhaps toe in/toe out IS (about) the "only typical alignment concerns" that one "should realistically have" --- PROVIDED the other serviceable front end parts are "relatively new" --- again, at least as pertains a 2nd Gen Intrigue? I'm aware (I think) caster OR camber (but not both) is a 1st priority --- but can't recall which-is-which ,,, and also aware Alignment Shop (not me) does this job --- but GOING to the Shop "totally blind of the process" makes me - well - nervous.
