Bens70w31
I can imagine the headache Olds dealers had warrantying this generation Cutlass. Whats the fix for the spring loaded fuel filler door, that stays open and will not shut. (Springs back out in full open position) Thanks folks. my recent purchase of a 60 K mile Cutlass Supreme SL 4 door has been very troublesome. Nas Escobar
I never realized they had a spring. I thought it was just a door hinge. I never had this issue. For 60k though, you're bound to have odd ends mess up. It's a 24 year old car that has sat more than its ran. Cars are peculiar creatures. j_mezz
Mine are all spring loaded, but there is no latch or anything so I would think that something is blocking it or it's just busted. prety easy fix though, just replace that hinge. It comes out pretty easy and I've got one around if you need one. I'd try pulling it out and cleaning\oiling it first.
