paumat Posted April 30, 2017 Report Posted April 30, 2017 how do you remove it? is it glued in? I'm trying to track down a bad leak in the trunk on the passenger side. Water seems to mostly collect in the recess behind the passenger rear tire and some runs to the spare tire well. I can see exactly where it's dripping from but don't know how the water is getting there. I've ruled out the following: 1. tail light stud holes 2. weatherstripping 3. spoiler 4. I've siliconed the snot out of the trunk hinge bolt holes and body seams that I can access in the area This all leads me to believe the leak may be near the bottom of the rear window and runs between the body panels until it can drip out near the seam back by the taillight but I can't see anything with the molding in place. I'm assuming the water should just run down the rear window and into the "valley" where the hinge is and drain out by the taillight. So, this leads me back to the how to remove that molding and anything else I should be looking at? I did remove the interior C pillar trim piece and didn't see any water on the interior near the rear speaker deck area Quote
digitaloutsider Posted April 30, 2017 Report Posted April 30, 2017 The molding around the actual window is glued in. Have you tried getting IN the trunk with a flashlight while someone is spraying the car down with a hose? That might help you pinpoint it better. Quote

I can see exactly where it's dripping from but can't determine how the water is getting to that point. Quote
Imp558 Posted April 30, 2017 Report Posted April 30, 2017 you're better off going to a car window repair place and asking them if they can reseal it for you Quote
