Imp558
Some struts have more of a slot than a hole.
W30olds
My rear shocks are slotted which allowed the tech to fix the camber within specs. Not sure if all rear shock/struts are but my replacements were. I sat and watched him align my rear camber/caster and set the toe to within specs. Galaxie500XL
When I replaced the rear struts on my ‘95 Cutlass, camber was horribly off, until I had the car aligned. KYB struts had a pretty significant slot built into them for alignment purposes.

KYB struts had a pretty significant slot built into them for alignment purposes. Same rear shocks and front struts I used. Yes the rears were slotted on mine as well. Since having the stabilizer link and a proper alignment car rides like new. Pretty awesome! Galaxie500XL
