284 vs 282 Slave cylinders

So I'm gathering all the parts I'm going to need to swap a 284 into my GTP and the 282 from the GTP into my TGP

I plan on eliminating the accumulator setup between the master and slave on the 284 hydraulics.

I've done some research on rockauto, and it appears that I can use a 282 slave on a 284 if I use the AN fittings and 20" braided hose from summit racing as others have done.

Is that true?

From the factory yes.  I swapped his GTP to a 5 speed with a rebuilt 282 that I had at the time.  After an unfortunate incident involving a remote car starter and the car being left in gear, Matt ended up buying it from me, and rebuilding it and then rebuilding it again!  So it's got a 282 in there because of me!

For others whom search this out, so far, it seems the 282 and 284 slaves are the same, but only the bare slave. not including the 284's weird accumulator setup that it has for whatever reason.

Now the masters on the other had are different.
