cdn_olds_94
My son was at the wrecking yard yesterday, and came across a 97 Olds Cutlas 4 Door. He thinks the only parts that will fit my 94 Vert will be the door mirrors. I need to find out, will these fit my car .
Imp558
You would have to be more specific which parts you want to get accurate answers. There are a couple of guys here that know
cdn_olds_94
I need to know if the door rear-view mirrors from the 97 Olds will fit the 94 Olds.
ManicMechanic
Yes, they will. Unless they are off a 1997 N body Cutlass.
Imp558
I would guess no, but if you don't get an answer here try looking at p/n's on Rockauto. If you find the same number you're in business.
Imp558
Jays info trumps me, and everyone for that matter. I was typing when he posted. Many W Bodies had a style change in 97 ManicMechanic
GOT2B GM
Pretty sure the mirrors themselves are the same, its the plate that the mirror mounts to that is different
cutty collector
so are there any changes to the previous years w body cars or would lumina an regal mirrors fit too
94 olds vert
Any first gen Wbody mirror will swap. The mirror just pops out, and snaps back in. As far as the housing goes, it might be different. Power mirrors could be different that manual mirrors, but I doubt that Edited December 5, 2016 by 94 olds vert
Imp558
If they fit you can juggle the wires around to make them function correctly
Nas Escobar
Jays info trumps me, and everyone for that matter. I was typing when he posted. Many W Bodies had a style change in 97 The 1st gen W body was built until 1997 but the Pontiac and Buick version had their 2nd generation start in 1996 for MY year 1997 (meaning that 2nd gen W's were available in fall 1996). The Cutlass Supreme was made for one more model year (1997) because the Intrigue was not ready for production yet. This is why a Grand Prix, Century and Regal have their body styles start in 1997 but there's no 1997 Intrigues. Only 98. so are there any changes to the previous years w body cars or would lumina an regal mirrors fit too 1988- 1996 Grand Prix 1988- 1997 Cutass Supreme 1988- 1996 Regal 1990- 1994 Lumina. These cars are interchangeable 100% even though certain parts are car specific (window switches for example). SOME things will interchange with the 1995-2001 Lumina and 1995-1999 Monte Carlo. Certain things are carryovers from the 1988 platform, others were changed in 1995 to create a hybrid platform (we call it W 1.5). 1997-2003 Grand Prix 1997-2004 Regal and Century 1998-2002 Intrigue 2000-2005 Impala and Monte Carlo These are considered 2nd gen W bodies and most parts interchange. Cars still had unique points but most mechanical stuff interchanges.
Imp558
The Regal second gen started in 1997, you wrote it was 96 but the "Graph" shows it correctly so I know that was a typo. There was a 1.5 Gen there with the Lumina and/or MC but that's all I know so it gets a bit more complicated.

Same way my 89 regal was built in September 1988. It's a 1989 model year but built in 1988. That's why I said you should have been able to get em in fall of 96. That makes em my97. Same way 2009 built Camaros are MY2010. Pretty sure someone will chime in and add on but from what I remember, on the 1.5s, the rear monoleaf is gone, replaced by springs... the wipers no longer clean center out... the interior and door panels don't swap (that I know of), antenna is different, front brakes are slightly different
Imp558
Almost all model years start the previous fall.
