LQ1 cam retarded ?

I have RPM derivative spark control ? Which does what ?

it's an odd piece of code at the simplest.... adds or subtracts a dynamic amount of spark advance when the engine is accelerating or decelerating rapidly. why exactly GM felt this was necessary for the manual trans LQ1 and no other engine calibration that I'm aware of, I don't know. it's almost like it's trying to get around the engine speed filtering process to account for actual engine speed, but why this would need more or less advance, I'm not sure.

considering how the code goes through the main spark calculation at an 80Hz rate, I'm kind of skeptical of how useful it really is.
