W30olds
I upgraded the front sway bar bushing's a few weeks back. I used the energy suspension gerasable sets. I know the stock bar is 34mm and then 22mm on the ends. I went with the 35mm and 23mm sizes and I think these are too big and the front end feels kinda loose. I'm thinking of redoing the bushings with the 34mm and 22mm. Am I nuts or does 1mm make the front feel loose? Ugh. Aggrivating because the factory bushing felt tighter than these do. Help! digitaloutsider
Why did you use the wrong sizes? 94 olds vert, Psych0matt and Buick666
W30olds
I followed a write up I read here in the FAQ section. Used the part numbers in the write up. Long story short use 34mm not the 35mm in the write up.
jman093
I've kind of given up on poly sway bar bushings. Ran them for years until I tired of the noise and poor longevity of them. I just stick with factory rubber now. When I did though, I used part numbers 9-5159g and 9-5167G on the 34mm bar. They are technically one mm undersize, but fit perfectly. I can tell you though it's not going to fix any "loose" front end feeling though. I'd look elsewhere.
W30olds
Yeah thus far I've not seen any thrill seeking rides with these. Not to mention they are noisy even after greasing them. I liked the factory bushings better myself. Believe I'm going to remove the poly and use something else like the GM bushings.
