darklotus42
okay I have a 95 olds CS coupe and I want to get rid of my rear mono and upgrade to coilovers. I have a 98 lumina with coilover suspension as a parts car. can I use everything off the donor to do the swap or will I need other parts. rich_e777
You will need other parts, look at how the mount bolts to the unibody and there is a difference between the Lumina and Cutlass bolt pattern. There are better ways to go about doing it but its going to cost a bit more. I'm planning on doing a coil over swap on my 94 one day, bought most of the parts already but need the mounts. Nas Escobar
The rear suspension on a 95 Cutlass and a 98 Lumina are different. The 95-01 Lumina and 95-99 Monte Carlo are complete different cars from the rest of the 88-96 W body cars on certain things. The rear suspension is too different. If you search how to do rear coilovers on the forum, you'll see how to do the rears. It's a bit complicated but it can be done. l67ss
Swap top mounts on rear struts and they'll fit.....assuming you mean actual coilovers and not just stock coil springs
