Rob95CS
What's the proper method for checking the motor mounts? What am I looking for in a bad mount?

93vinX
the front mount should be checked for leak of hydrolic oil and the dog bone and the front can be checked in drive while reving the motor

Rob95CS
One is at the bottom front of the engine cradle, you can see it under the car... I have a feeling this is the one that may be bad. Could it be bad and NOT leak hydraulic oil?
5speedz34
The only one that is hydrualic is the front one for the motor the rest are solid. But I dont think so.
93vinX
the hydrolic mount may have fluid on it or not, if its been leaking it may all be gone or may be present, the other yuou hafta look for tears.... if the front mount is gone the motor will surge up....that is when you in drive with you foot on the brakeand hit the gas
