worb4me
1998 GP GT Just undo clips and pull hoses off, or is more required? It would seem the rest of what's attached to the casting is there to hold the hoses on also. Never seen a contraption like this before so pardon if this seems like an ignorant question. I'm Going to keep looking regardless.
rich_e777
Haven't replaced mine yet but its coming, probably do both tensioners at once. I have read here in the past that you should replace those elbows with the metal ones and if already done probably get new elbows with new seals on there anyways. It doesn't seem like a hard job really, plenty of room if you can move the coolant reservoir. It would also be a good chance to check/change out your power steering pump as well since your down there.
worb4me
The PS pump is down there but overflow bottle ain't. I'm not talking about the elbows, that's basically done. But the heater hoses attached to the tensioner assembly. Mine is different from some cars, and different from the A1A video. The tensioner casting terminates as 2 tubes, and the hoses are presses on the ends - mine doesn't have pipes that are at right angles to the tensioner tubes. But the end of each tube has a sort of clamp I guess, difficult to describe otherwise. I'm probably not going to attempt to remove those hoses (would be nice to know how though regardless) rather I may detach them at the firewall and flush everything out that way ( my reason for wanting them off).
