Padgett
Am getting a clunk when I get on or back off, mainly in lower gears. Sounds like it is coming from about the rear of the console. Is this something common with a manual trans ? Simple fix ?
Schurkey
From the REAR of the console? I'd be looking for missing exhaust hangers or otherwise damaged exhaust pipe(s) An alternative is that the sound originates in a certain place, but presents acoustically "somewhere else" due to reflection or conductance/resonance through the body. Imp558
The trailing arm mounts have a tendency to rip loose and clatter, theoretically if the passenger side one was clattering it would come from that direction.
94 olds vert
He lives in Florida, that is a rust belt issue lol
Padgett
This car is completely rust free. Really. It does have a Magnaflow exhaust which may be screwed up, suppose I should raise it up and see if anything is shiny. Just wondered if something was common.
