jiggity76 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Trying to change out bad hood release cable. Cable has come undone right up front where it latches to the hood. How do you get the hood open without the cable being pulled from inside? I can grab the release handle from under the hood next to the right side grill but hood still won't release. I also tried from underneath and no results. Working on my 91 International. Quote

jiggity76 Posted January 23, 2016 Author Report Posted January 23, 2016 I bought some long handled screw drivers and pry bars. Going to try from underneath again. Quote
Imp558 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Study it with a flashlight as well as you can through the grill first, it's still going to suck. If your grill is crap and you plan on replacing it some surgery with a hammer would speed this process up considerably. Quote
jiggity76 Posted February 11, 2016 Author Report Posted February 11, 2016 When it gets a little warmer going to try again with a buddy. I'm going to try thru the grill first and try to be patient. Might look from underneath again. I just didn't want to have to pull the bumper and bumper reinforcement bar but will if I have too. Thanks guys. Quote
