jeremy Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 I replaced stock deck with aftermarket one....obviously my steering wheel radio controls don't work, but neither do the climate/fan controls. Is that normal or did I do something wrong? I know that I can buy a part to make them work, but what a pain in the a$$, I might just sell this aftermarket deck and get the stock CD/tape combo from the 95-97 Cutty. Quote
supreme_style21 Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 I'm willing to bet the climate controls ran through the radio, as GM is so fond of placing so much emphasis on their decks. Quote
92turboLE Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 how much would you want for the deck??? - Justin Quote
jeremy Posted November 24, 2003 Author Report Posted November 24, 2003 how much would you want for the deck??? - Justin which one?? the one I installed or the stock tape deck I yanked? Quote
PJB Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Its normal. My friends car has the controls and they dont work with his cd player. You need to buy some kind of adapter called a SWIX to make the controls work. Quote
sdoDrew Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Ive got a 91, and when I put my new deck in, my climate controls still work, they said I could pick up a device to make my steering wheel controls work with my new deck aswell. but it was expensive. Quote
Aaron Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 the climate controls do run through the deck and there should be a wire for them-forget which color tho. as for you steering wheel controls, we did a swap in a 1995 firebird, fucked with the wires a little, and got them to work. Quote
