99RegalGS Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 Yesterday I went the j/y to see how much it would be for crossbraces since my car never had them. But the j/y wanted $30 for 2. I thought that it would be like $15 at the most. How much do you think they're worth?? Quote
hoodilio Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 Yo, if u get cross braces and a strut tower brace, i bet your handling will be sooo much better, wen i added on my STB it was like night and day. Also, ur ride looks hott man, always did love the 2-door Regal GS's. Quote
5speedz34 Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 As in crossbraces you mean the brace that goes across the radiotar core to the strut tower? Those are like 16 at the dealer, I know Teferuis replaced them ask him. Quote
Redfox340 Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 How much do you think they're worth?? $10 for the pair, at most! That's what I paid for my set. As in crossbraces you mean the brace that goes across the radiotar core to the strut tower? I do believe so; that's what I am refering to. - Erik Quote

LukeZ34 Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 I'm with Erik on this.. I wouldn't pay more than $5 for a single one. If you find an extra drivers side brace, can you pick one up for me? Condition doesn't matter, all the paint will be blasted off of it anyway. Quote

Redfox340 Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 i thought you guys said they were discontionued?or was that the strut tower brace? No, you are thinking about the Strut Tower Brace found on the Cutlass convertable. The STB goes horizontally across the frame and attaches to both strut towers of the frame. Those have been discontinued and can only be found in yards or Ebay. I've got 'em on my '89 if they'll fit. Yes, they will. All Gen I cross braces will fit as long as you have (and should) the pre-drill bolt-in holes. - Erik Quote
