pshojo Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) I am parting out my dads 98 REGAL GS, simply it has gotten too rusty. Thought about using the drive train for my car. What is acceptable range for engine compression? I did the front three cylinder compression test quickly. I received 130-150-130. Is this good enough to use that in not going to have to do something with the engine? Or would it be better to just not use it. Or? Note: engine was cold when I did test Edited April 5, 2015 by pshojo Quote
White93z34 Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 sounds decent for cold, but you are really supposed to do a compression test hot how many miles on it? Quote
pshojo Posted April 5, 2015 Author Report Posted April 5, 2015 187000 miles, it's almost all highway . He travels 16 miles highway one way to work. Quote
