l67ss Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 Was my understanding tgps had 4t60s. I could help you with a 4t65/obd2 swap if ya can get a tune Quote
redgrandprix Posted April 5, 2015 Author Report Posted April 5, 2015 Well 440-t4 and 4t60 are kind of used inerchangeably in the last design of the 440's before it was changed to electronic control 4t60e. However after doing a bunch of digging I think I should probably just stick with og trans because it has a different valvebody and other "better" parts. As for a 4t65 swap I would consider it but there question in durability if a connector that would sit under the turbo Sent from my YP-G70 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
RobertISaar Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 the 440 and 4T60 are what the 700R4 and 4L60 are to each other... other than superseded parts, they're identical and were given new names to fit GM's powertrain naming scheme. that being said, the newer you can go with a 4T60, the better, there were some notable improvements along the way.
