pitzel
What's the official process to clean/lubricate the door hardware in a 4-door?

94 olds vert
Official. I have no clue. But I had to clean with brake cleaner and relube the locks and linkages on my GTP. So far so good. I used a graphite lock lubricant I had around the house.
rich_e777
I used brake cleaner to clean out all the gunk and then WD-40. That didn't seem to work for too long so I did it again but this time used Remington gun oil liberally, worked the mechanism to get the oil were its needed and hands down its the best to use. Vertical handles as well, it cuts down on the metal on metal friction.

pitzel
Thanks everyone. A few shots of silicone spray into the door latches, and everything is working much, much better. I don't think mine had ever been lubricated. Now just gotta replace the handle I broke earlier.
