Garrett Powered
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benzene best way to get it is cigarettes? I am reading lead was what was used to replace it in fuel to reduce knock. I have had friends die from blood cancer so this is important to read
Schurkey
I agree, on everything, just how is it adjusted with a scope if a tune is needed? No adjustment; the 'scope is used to determine if the alternator is defective.
Garrett Powered
I guess I go to someone who will.

I have had friends die from blood cancer so this is important to read "Benzyna" here in Canada & the States and other English speaking countries we use the word *gasoline* to refer to our *fuel*, in countries such as Poland, the Ukraine & Russia gasoline is called *Benzyna*, it's not spelled *Benzyna*, that's English, (in Poland it is) but in the Ukraine & Russia their languages spell it differently, the word *gaz* refers to propane in those countries. Garrett Powered
its probably in the water table anywhere they do fracking for natural gas too
Arkin
Ok men I drove lumina one more time and here are more facts : While idling revs and voltage both jump up and down a bit. When pressing the brake voltage jumps low, around 10. When hitting the drive it falls even lower. Thus the engine starts much better without holding the brake down. When driving voltage is 13-14. When Im cornering the hand of fuel level falls almost down but when drive straight it shows half full tank. I will order alternator, fuel pump and sensors I got trouble coded soon, double check other stuff and will get back at the end of feb Thanx
55trucker
^If I understand you correctly, When in *park*.... at idle the engine rpm & voltage fluctuate, press the brake pedal & the extra load on the battery causes the voltage to drop? Put the transmission into *drive* and the voltage drops even more (because engine rpm drops slightly), when driving the rpm is up and the voltage rises to 13-14v. That sounds like a bad rectifier. The fuel gauge is responding normally, if the tank is half full the fuel can cavitate in the tank, when going around corners or accelerating or decelerating, the only time the fuel will not cavitate is when the tank is completely full. I don't see a problem with the fuel pump at all where this is concerned, if the engine would not start, no fuel pressure at the fuel rail schrader valve I might suspect a faulty pump. You should be able to hear the fuel pump prime for approx 2secs when you turn the ignition key to run before starting the engine. by the way.......do you have to use a translator when typing? Arkin
I didnt mention I cant rev more than 4500 when driving, the engine starts kicking like it hits rev limiter. I claim pump or ECM, since I know there were interventions in both of them before me I use translator for special terms and sometimes I check my grammatics with it. 55trucker
To properly test the fuel pressure you will need a fuel pressure tester, don't know if you can get to one of these, http://www.oemys-performance.com/library/fuel%20pressure%2000.jpg screw it into the schrader valve that is in the fuel rail to check what the line pressure actually is, then you can make a diagnosis of the problem. Proper pressure should be approx 45-48lbs. engine not running/fuel rail pressurized, that will drop off slightly when the engine is running. There is a rev limiter programmed into the ECM, it is set to 3000rpm, but it only engages in Park/Neutral. But at this point you have other problems that are/may be overlapping, need to sort them all out.

A bad terminal screw will make the car do odd things. When I first bought my car, my pos terminals caused voltage drop when I turned on my blinkers. As far as the fuel level goes, completely normal. The fuel level sensor is nothing more than a floater so when you're halfway or less, it will give you false readings. Also, if you can, order the ALDL cable (provided you have a laptop to run TunerPro with). It will be loads of help.
Arkin
The terminals are servised fine. Roger on tunerpro and measure preasure in fuel rail, will sort it out
Garrett Powered
lol, I have had fuel pressure drop not because the pumps bad. The ground for the alternator doesn't go to the battery terminal anyway. The alternator is not the cause of the surging.
