Deacon
Yea, I'm like everyone else. I having a hard time getting the lower bolt off. I removed the throttle assembly and the air housing intake, but the damn thing just won't budge. Any special tool I could use to get in there? You guys already know, there isn't much room in there. I'm having a tough time getting the wrench to stay on the nut. Not to mention getting enough torque due to the little space.
Imp558
When I get in a bind I dig into my box of chinese combo wrenches and grind / heat&bend / wend stuff onto them as needed to make a tool that works. Got a whole mess of stuff that's been modified for different jobs. For that particular critter I may cut a 6 point socket in half to make a super shallow one and then weld a strip of plate steel onto the back of it for a handle. RobertISaar
3.4 or 3100? i don't remember either being particularly difficult, maybe i'll go look at the 3100 tomorrow and see if some forgotten memory gets recalled.
55trucker
Steel & aluminum do not like each other, with time they corrode to become *one with each other*, you may need some heat in there to warm up the casting to free the bolt. Do so in small amounts.
