twalt13 Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 I'm rebuilding a "T" block and using a crane H260 cam. I've read that when others have used the 1:6 rockers with this set up that it doesn't run well, input? Also am thinking of using a northstar water pump pulley that is smaller to get more cooling. GOT2B GM Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Trying to think of someone with a running cammed turbo 3.1... Sent from my Z30 using Tapatalk Quote
GOT2B GM Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Didn't know he was cammed Sent from my Z30 using Tapatalk Quote
RobertISaar Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 i'm 95% sure he is running a pretty radical cam for a turbo application. Quote
Heartbeat1991 Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 I ran one years ago in my Z24 without much of a problem. After a couple years, it started skipping. I pulled it apart, and I had a lifter somehow freeze up in it's bore. That, of course, ruined my cam lobe. But it ran great. Mine was a "V" block and if I remember correctly, it was a custom ground crank I picked up online. But I don't recall the specs. I can try to find them if you like. I still have the busted cam and the rockers from it. If you're using the 3.1 intake, you'll need to do some minor clearancing on the bottom of the intake for the bigger rockers. Quote
twalt13 Posted September 25, 2014 Author Report Posted September 25, 2014 Ran fine when this motor was a hybrid 3.1 T block 3400 heads 3500 intake. I'll stick with the stock rockers and the h260 cam. t2871 turbo. More to follow once it's back on the road. Quote
