97cutlass
Hey guys! While removing & cleaning my egr valve(getting insanely bad mileage)I noticed wires with a red connector(#14)dangling back by the firewall...Couldn't find anything for them...Anyone know what these belong to? Redfox340
I'm told if 1996+ and higher, it's an added plug the dealership / mechanic to plug in and diagnosis. On OBDI, I still haven't found out exactly what it does... Rumor has it that you can apply a voltage and through the ECM will hold engine at a certain RPM. Bottom Line: I wouldn't worry if there's no problem with the car drivability. - Erik

threefour
well that wire whatever it does i know that when i removed my stock air box and put in an open element air filter and did not tie it down, it dangled loose while i drove, then when i stopped somewhere the sensor landed on the exhaust manifold/downpipe and fried! it blew a fuse i forget which one and then i was on my way... tie that thing down!!!
