High Performance Parts

I am having some trouble finding high performance parts for my 1990 Chevy Lumina Euro 3.1 especially internal engine parts. Anyone know a site that sells some? I asked at AutomotiveForums.com and they told me to come here.

IMO , you really just need to look around some. I have found Summit racing's site to be usefull. What are you looking to upgrade?

pistons-

rings-

cam-

valvtrain-

All of the above?

Yea all of the above. I have a few summit racing magazines and they don't have that many parts for 6 cyl. especially my car.

They have the cams and rocker arms in the summit catalog.

Bearings are not in there , but they have them (if your are re-building).

I think there is also a lising for the cloyes double roller timing chain in the summit cat.

You can also check ARI's site, they have some parts (but opinoions seem to be scattered reguarding ARI's knowledge base.

I got my ss valves from them as well as the rest of my valvetrain.

rings and pistons I would go to a proformance shop local to you, cause I think it's best that they are ordered together.

I also got my coils from summit. (msd # 8224)

An underdrive pully from Fast Forward Performance.

I went to Fastfwdperformance's site and looked at there undrive pulley's and the 3.1L one is sold out. Anyone know where I can get one like that in stock?

I just checked out the rsm site and I want that air intake and throttle body for my Lumina, but in the picture for the air intake the engine is fuel injected like it comes stock. My Lumina is carbureted and I hate the dude I bought it from for changing it. Will the air intake go on a carburetor?

If you have a 1990 3.1L, it should be Multi-Port Fuel Injection.

I'm willing to bet on it. You're intake plenum should read "3.1L MPFI". Correct?

Yes, it reads MPFI on it, but it's carbureted.

Um... no. If it read MPFI and you have a ECM, you have fuel injection.

Have any pictures of your engine bay?

The ONLY way it could be carbed , is if they cut a hole in the upper plenum, n welded in the carb there.

Although I could also see an Iron Duke in there..

Ok I just got the car and I was told it had a carburetor. I have went and looked and it is fuel injected.
