HEMI-V8
Hi. So Im confused about my transmission dipstick. Today I checked the tranny level and saw this: Dexron II ? My haynes and the manual say that I must use Dexron III, and that´s what Im also using since I got the Buick. Is this the wrong dipstick or is it right and can I use it without any problem ? The overall length of the metal stripe of the stick are about 23.23 inches. THX
White93z34
Its just what was available when the car was manufactured. Its been superseded by DexIII and that has been superseded by DEX VI . So you are fine using anything Dex II and above.

Nas Escobar
Some of these cars were built during the switchover from Dexron II to Dexron III. What's in the car right now is DexIII because what had happened was that they had switched to DexIII but didn't change the dipstick. The information is irrelevant though since DexIII has been superseded by Dexron VI. So just buy whatever Dexron is available because DexIII hasn't been available since 2006. At this point, it's Dex VI but I assume when that gets superseded, they'll formulate its successor to be able to go back to original whale oil Dexron as has been the case since the original Dex II came out.
