GTPer
How did you guys relocate the PCM when doing an aftermarket air intake? I want to know how I would mount my PCM before buying a cold air intake.
Imp558
On my car the PCM was on the right side, I relocated the battery to the trunk to make room for the CAI. I actually did relocate the PCM too, I took the harness out and lifted the pcm out of the side of the harness, lengthening the affected wires one at a time so it's really not lengthening the PCM, just rerouting the length that already runs to it and lengthening the wires that need to go to it from the other direction. Is that confusing enough? lol
GTPer
Oh yea I forgot Im looking for someone who put a cold air intake on a 3.8 v6 to tell me how they relocated the PCM because it sits in the air box
nitehawkjcb
A lot of guys just secure it, I'm sure a PCM tray from a Blazer or something will work.

GTPer
Its a 97 Grand Prix GTP with a supercharged 3.8 engine
gzibell
I did that on my 98 gtp. Got a coolant recovery tank from a 99 to make room for the cai. Pcm now sits below the new cai where the air box used to be bolted down. The kit I got back in the day came with a bracket shield thing to secure the pcm. 94 olds vert
My PMC sits below the air filter in the wizaired CAI. Seems like a good spot.
