reatte oil filter adapter

Why exactly would you need to change the oil filter if you're changing transmissions? I thought the oil filter is on the even cylinder side (the one closer to the head lights)

On 3800s theyre between the balancer and pass side cv axle

Yes the reatta is the one to use. Also, the 85-87 Pontiac grand ams with the 3.0 use the same one. You'll still need to modify them by relocating or deleting the oil sending unit as they point straight up into the power steering pump on W-Body 3800s

I picked it up yesterday and didnt even notice the s unit angle, thanks! :)
