l67ss Posted July 19, 2014 Report Posted July 19, 2014 Reattas are the donor for oil filter adapters on a 5-speed 3800 swap, correct? Thanks Quote
Nas Escobar Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 Why exactly would you need to change the oil filter if you're changing transmissions? I thought the oil filter is on the even cylinder side (the one closer to the head lights) Quote

Nas Escobar Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 That's interesting, my 3800 Camaro has It way past the balancer. Its closer to the A/C pulley Quote
carkhz316 Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 Yes the reatta is the one to use. Also, the 85-87 Pontiac grand ams with the 3.0 use the same one. You'll still need to modify them by relocating or deleting the oil sending unit as they point straight up into the power steering pump on W-Body 3800s Quote
