pitzel Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I have a 1992, and, as many W-body owners know, the rocker panels rot from the inside out. In later models (ie: 1997), GM altered the bumpers and plastics to basically cover up the rocker panels and lower parts of the doors so any rust they experienced to doesn't appear. For a hundred bucks or so, I can likely pull a new front bumper, new side panels, and perhaps even a new rear bumper from the junkyard. Another $200-$300 to have a body shop prep and paint to match. Anyone know if this would be a true bolt-on mod, once the painting is done? Effectively upgrading the exterior of a 1992 to the 1997 standard? Quote
Nas Escobar Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 As far as I know, the internals didn't change so the holes should line up with the parts and all will be well. Quote
94 olds vert Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 The bumpers will bolt on. The side body cladding will need clips to be attached along with a few screws and bolts. Your car wont have that. So you will need to ad that. If you pull those parts at a scrap yard you will see what I am talking about. Quote
