gp1991
Alright, this might sound stupid, but where is the oxygen sensor located on a 91 Grand prix 3.1. I know it has to be on the exhaust somewhere but i was trying to look down from above and didn't see anything. I'm just asking because I pulled a code 13 and figured I should replace the sensor to see if that fixes the problem. Thanks
RobertISaar
rear manifold, right around where the crossover pipe and the rear manifold meet. it's a pain in the ass.
gp1991
ok i see it now, do i need to do that thing where you roll the engine forward, because otherwise i dont see how its possible to reach it.
RobertISaar
that is more or less the only way i know of to have a chance of enough room.
pitzel
I've done it without rocking the engine forward. But rocking the engine forward makes it trivial. Just make sure you block the wheels and put the transaxle in neutral when you do so.
gp1991
alright cool thanks guys got it changed. I never have moved the engine forward like that its amazing the room it gives you. I just used a ratchet strap and it seemed to work well.
RobertISaar
yeah, the W-bodies not using the stupid timing cover based engine mounts certainly helps with that.
Galaxie500XL
Could be worse...try changing the oxygen sensor on an LQ1....
