91cutty Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 My sunroof won't stop between the open and flip-up position when it is completely closed. How do I fix this? Is it some type of sensor or switch? Thanks, Andrew Quote
91cutty Posted November 17, 2003 Author Report Posted November 17, 2003 Anyone? I know that someone on the board had the same problem as this and fixed it, but I spent an hour searching and couldn't find the post anymore. Quote
SmokesGTP Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Mine does that too sometimes I have to put it up and down like 5 times until it stops. Quote
sonyman87 Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 like you said its probably a switch the window hits. im not familiar with sunroofs Quote
fyzix Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Bump, I have the same problem with my '89. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 My Grand Prix had this problem and I fixed it easily. It was a long long time ago so I'm just going by memory, but I think there is a little pin switch that gets all gunked up with black crud. Clean out the black crud and the pin switch will pop out. Then clean the pin switch and make sure it goes in and out smoothly. I don't remember the exact location of the switch, but on mine it was so gunked up I didn't even know it was a pin switch. It looked like just a small hole filled with cruddy black stuff. Quote
