cutlass1393
Ive got a 93 Cutlass and im getting a pop/clunk on the right side when I turn left. Ive had new ball joints, tie rods, rack, new cradle and new mounts, and strut cartridges done. it doesnt do it when i turn slow, ive heard maybe a halfshaft or a lower strut mount? I checked and everything is tight in the front end. The cv boots are perfect with no tears. no noises at all driving and hitting bumps. I jerked the wheel back and forth while driving (like nascar warming their tires) and not one noise, only when i turn. This is boggling my mind, any help would be awesome
rich_e777
How about them strut bearings? IIRC failed strut bearings will make a pop or clunk when turning. That's the mechanism in place that allows the top of the strut to pivot as you turn the wheel as well as the ball joints at the bottom. The mind shall be unboggled... Now.
