Schurkey
I've cut the Somender-Singh grooves into two pair of cylinder heads. No before-after testing, though so I can't say if they helped. Lots of internet opinion on whether or not they help; I don't know of anyone who claims they've hurt performance. Gadgetman has a TBI mod that's a total waste of time. I can't judge anything else he's done objectively. Has a history of drug abuse, though. http://www.pureenergyblog.com/2013/08/19/1693/8502369_final-days-of-gadgetman-groove-ron-hatton-feels-the-noose-tightening/ Edited May 25, 2014 by Schurkey
DragonHEF01
I've cut the Somender-Singh grooves into two pair of cylinder heads. What size engines? Because I'm starting to see the little four-bangers may benefit more from the head grooves than say a 500 caddy. Sucks for Ron... Schurkey
What size engines? Because I'm starting to see the little four-bangers may benefit more from the head grooves than say a 500 caddy. Sucks for Ron... 455 Pontiac and 454 Chevy. (No photo.) Most modern 4-poppers have multi-valve heads, there's essentially no quench pad to cut a groove into. DragonHEF01
Most DOHC engine have quench areas, they're just really small. The vid is with a Holden 2.0L, which is in my Suzuki Forenza. Minis, Miatas, and Civics too are examples. Even 5 poppers. And, of course, the 3.4L.
