Are there any RPO#'s that are commonly referred to for W's?

Just wondering if there are any that are common place for our cars. I'm well aware of the F-body ones like WS6, 1LE, Z28, and others. I haven't seen anything like that on here though. Only one I can think of is L27 and that's a code for the 3800 motor.

Dang. That's a good start. Now If i could find a place to decode them...I've always wanted to know what some of them were. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one on this forum that is interested in a W body RPO decoder.

you can get generic descriptions most of the time with just google... but they don't mean much with what descriptions GM gave.

AQ9 = power seats with somewhere between 8 and 12 airbags in them for individual adjustments

LB6 = aluminum head 2.8MPFI

LH0 = aluminum head 3.1MPFI

LG5 = aluminum head 3.1MPFI Turbo

L82 = aluminum head 3100SFI

LA1 = aluminum head 3400SFI

LZ9 = gen4 60V6 3900

LX5 = shortstar 3.5

LX9 = gen3.5 60V6 3500

LG0 = quad4 2.3 HO

LQ1 = twin dual cam/ 3.4L DOHC 60V6

L27 = 3800 S1

L67 = 3800 supercharged S1 and S2(though rarely is the S1 referred to)

L32 = 3800 supercharged S3 (and oddly enough, also the 93-95 F-body 3.4SFI, but never gets referred to)

LS4 = gen3/4 5.3 V8

UB3 = 6 guage clusters(on the 88-94 cutlass and i think regal as well, both digital and analog exist, 88-93 grand prix analog only, the half-digital might have a UB3 code)

FE1 = "comfort" suspension, FE3 = "sport" suspension, i know there are more "levels", but they vary a lot.

B4U = 91-96 grand prix with ground effects(91-93 are different from 94-96)

B4M = 89-90 TGP ground effects

BYP = base grand prix body. there is likely another RPO code associated with it as well or as some variation of it, but i don't know what it would be.

i'm not sure if that is the actual RPO(kind of like Z28/Z34)..... i think it's a product/marketing code. the RPO is probably something like MG2.

turns out there are multiple F40 RPOs, depending on a few options(like gearing)..... on the 2013 regal, i saw MT2 and one other, only noticable difference was that 1st gear was even shorter on one compared to the other.

The engine codes aren't W specific. UB3 is generic for full cluster, but we at W affectionately call the Cutlass digital cluster UB3 ALTHOUGH the analogue Grand Prix cluster is UB3. Camaro's had UB3 clusters too. B4U was used on Firebirds as well. That might be a Pontiac specific code for a body kit or trim options.

9C1 is actually the taxi spec code.

L26 - N/A 3800 Series III

L36 - N/A 3800 Series II

Pitiful that that is all I can think of outside of what has already been posted

Interesting, never heard of that before. I've seen dealer brochures that had listed 9C1 and 9C3, but never a 9C6. Google proves me wrong!
