northcarolinaman Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 A strange issue just started happening. My turn signal works fine and blinks when turning left. However, it stopped blinking for a right turn...unless I put additional pressure on the switch. If I can get the blinker started most of the time it stays on as I am turning right. Has anyone else run into this? How do I fix it? Thanks, Tom Quote

Thanks, Tom I'm having the same problem with one of my cars and I traced it to the Turn Signal Switch which has brass contacts inside which wear out over time and no longer make contact. nitehawkjcb Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Yep, sounds like the multifunction/turn signal switch is failing Quote
rich_e777 Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Yup, been there done that. nitehawkjcb got it. I think they are about $40 at Autozone, could be wrong its been awhile. I didn't have to remove my steering wheel to change mine IIRC. Quote
nitehawkjcb Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 I had to pull my wheel also. But we're both 5th gen Montes. Quote
