sttubs
I have a '93 Cutlass Supreme convertible with power brakes but they are not working correctly. It takes a lot of force to the brake pedal & has increased the stopping distance considerably. Any thoughts?
Heartbeat1991
Is it a PMIII system on this car too?
RobertISaar
should be ABS-VI, if it was optioned to have ABS. i would look at the booster or master cylinder as being culprits.
Heartbeat1991
Assuming they are vacuum assist, I would start with a vacuum leak, possibly the check valve on the booster, or lastly the booster itself.
Galaxie500XL
I had a similar problem with my '95, turned out the vacuum hose going to the booster had gotten very soft, and was collapsing, so I replaced the hose.
nitehawkjcb
Check the brake booster and vacuum line, and of course check the brake system for air and proper fluid level... good luck.
